Optimized Exercise

A consistent and safe exercise regimen is associated with reduced risk of death from any cause.

If that reason alone were not a strong enough motivating factor, consider that regular exercise is also specifically associated with:

  • Increased adaptability to stress.
  • Improved immunity.
  • Improved cardio markers, cardio-vascular health, and reduced risk of cardiac events.
  • Improved sleep quality.
  • Increased flexibility.
  • Improved mental outlook.

Your tailored Strength & Conditioning Program at medAge® will be designed specifically to your needs, based upon the results of your testing and fitness goals. The Program will combine some essential movements that research has shown to maximize the development of: functional strength and lean muscle mass, increased bone density, increased metabolism, increased hormonal health, and increased mobility.

One of the essential diagnostic tools we use in developing your fitness protocol, is VO2 Max testing. This test provides 1) a current measurement of your body’s ability to effectively utilize oxygen, and 2) the appropriate heart-rate ranges for your optimized aerobic conditioning. The aerobic conditioning aspect of the Program is just as important was your strength training, since aging directly effects vital aerobic capacity, diminishing it by approximately 1% per year after the age of 30 if appropriate exercise is not administered.

Based on the outcome of your VO2 Max test, we design a cardio interval training protocol specific to your needs and conditioning. Adhering to this program can significantly reverse the cardiovascular effects of age, by: helping increase formation of hemoglobin, increasing capacity of the lungs to deliver oxygen, increasing capillary development and better regulation of muscle base balance- all things which contribute to your overall health and vitality, and ultimately, to feeling great!
