FDA-approved Sculptra® is made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biodegradable synthetic substance that stimulates the production of collagen. This injectable filler treats facial signs of aging such as deep lines, creases and folds particularly around the nose, mouth and chin.

Whether you have shallow or deep facial wrinkles, Sculptra® is a safe and effective non-invasive procedure lasting up to 2 years.

How Sculptra® Works

Similar to other dermal fillers, Sculptra® is injected into the skin. When you arrive for your Sculptra® treatment, we will map the injection sites and clean the area. For your comfort, we can apply a topical anesthetic. Depending on the area and the patient, multiple small injections may be required.

What Should I Expect?

You may experience swelling and bruising at the injection site.  Common side effects include bleeding, redness, and tenderness. We recommend applying a cold ice pack to the affected area within 24 hours after treatment. You should also massage the area a few times a day for about a week. Avoid sunlight or tanning beds until redness and swelling have disappeared.

Some patients may notice results immediately, but to see full results, it can take a few months.
