How Does ResurFX™ Work?

Invented by global medical device leader Lumenis®, the ResurFX™ laser resurfaces the skin while maximizing your comfort during treatment. The device helps the skin create new collagen without harming skin layers. When we stimulate collagen, the skin’s appearance appears tighter, more radiant and youthful. Since it is a non-ablative solution, recovery time is minimized.

The ResurFX™ only needs one pass over the skin to deliver effective results.  Several treatments may be needed depending on the condition and desired results.

Is ResurFX™ Right for Me?

Energy-based treatments are not for everyone. If you have active infections, any viral, fungal or bacterial diseases, inflammatory skin conditions or skin cancer, avoid ResurFX™.  Side effects may include redness, swelling, or change in skin pigmentation.

What Should I Expect?

Since ResurFX™ uses a non-ablative laser, you will be more comfortable compared to other laser treatments. Prior, we will apply a topical numbing cream. During the session, you may feel a warm sensation as the laser is applied. The ResurFX™ has a state-of-the-art CoolScan™ scanner meaning the area being treated is constantly cooled for your comfort throughout the 20-30 – minute session (note: more time may be required depending on area size).

After treatment, you may experience redness or swelling that will decrease after a few hours. You can apply makeup one day after treatment. We recommend you stay out of the sun for a few days and always apply sunscreen. You can resume normal daily activity the same day.

Optimal results are achieved after 3-5 treatments in 4-5-week intervals.  You may continue to see improvements for up to six months post-treatment.
