What is Sclerotherapy?
The non-surgical treatment uses a specialized solution injected into the spider vein area using a tiny needle. The solution collapses the veins, causing them to dissolve. Over time these veins become unnoticeable and will disappear.
At our Asheville, Greenville and Ladera Ranch offices, our patient’s comfort is a top priority. We use a gentle technique with medication that does not sting or burn. It will take approximately 30-60 minutes for the procedure based on the size of the area and extent of the problem.
Following treatment, you may resume light activity. We encourage walking to support healthy blood flow. We will put you in compression stockings after treatment for a short period of time.
For best results, 2-3 additional treatments may be necessary.
